Reggie Jackson spent six year with the Pistons before getting traded to the Clippers. Recently the 32-year-old point guard revealed that he was thinking about retiring before Paul George called him to tell that he is getting traded.

According to Jackson, the fact that he was constantly dealing with injuries and that Detroit made the playoffs just twice during the time he was there made him think about ending his career.

“It really started making me question myself [late in Detroit tenure]… Don’t let anybody ever do this to you in life, take the fun out of the things that you love to do. I really was gonna retire. My lifeline, my brother here saved me,” Jackson said at George’s camp, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

This past season Jackson averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 31.2 minutes per game for the Clippers.
