Tony Shafer asserts the Brittney Griner prisoner swap is a bad idea

According to CNN, the Biden administration has offered to exchange Viktor Bout, an ex-Soviet military officer who is serving 25 years in prison for charges which include conspiracy to kill American nationals and officers and conspiring to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles, as part of a potential deal to secure the release of two Americans held by Russia, the U.S. National anthem boycotter Brittney Griner and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan.

On Sunday’s ‘Wake Up America,’ Lieutenant Colonel Tony Shaffer said, “The Department of Justice is always against this issue: basically trading people as hostages because it’s going to encourage more of this.”
