Kyrie Irving reacts to trade rumors

It was reported recently that Kyrie Irving and the Nets are not discussing contract extension, raising speculations that he might leave Brooklyn.
The 30-year-old former NBA champion has one more year left in his contract which is a player option that he can exercise this summer to remain with the Nets for another season.
While the media is busy speculating on Irving’s future, the player himself took to Twitter to react to the rumors by posting a cryptic meme from ‘The Wire.’
This past season, which was Kyrie’s third in Brooklyn, he averaged 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game in 37.7 minutes per game. He was limited to just 29 regular season due to refusal to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
