UConn Women's Basketball: Huskies Future Backcourt Is Legit | 2023 5-Star's KK Arnold/Ashlynn Shade

The UConn Women’s Basketball program is off to a nice start with their 2023 recruiting class, as the have a pair of five-star backcourt prospects committed in KK Arnold and Ashlynn Shade.

Arnold is ranked eighth overall in the class according to espnW and committed to the Huskies back in November. She chose them over Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Baylor among others.

She is effective as a scorer with her ability to crossover with a quick first step. She gets to the the rim and passes well, along with her midrange and three-point jumpers.

Shade is ranked fifth overall per espnW and committed to UConn in January. Her other finalists included Louisville, Notre Dame and Tennessee. She is an excellent midrange and three-point shooter and creates space well without the basketball.
