Steve Kerr hopeful Steph Curry will return to action soon after hand injury

Steph Curry is not expected to be out for long, according to Golden State Warriorsā head coach Steve Kerr. Curry missed Sundayās game against the Timberwolves with a sore right hand.
Curry hurt his right hand during Friday nightās game in Chicago when he took an awkward fall while driving to the bucket. Kerr shared an important update on Curryās injury situation prior to the game against Minnesota.
āThey both (Curry and Warriorsā director of sports medicine) feel good about where Steph is, and they donāt think itās going to be a long-term thing,ā Kerr said. āWeāre hopeful heāll play on Tuesday. Heās doing well,āĀ Kerr said, per Ron Kroichick of SF Chronicle.
The Warriors begin a seven-game homestand against Detroit on Tuesday night. He could be back as soon as next Warriorsā game.
Gary Payton II is also nursing a back injury and also missed Sundayās contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Itās unclear if he will be ready to come back for Tuesdayās contest vs Detroit.
