4 three-team NBA trades involving Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris

Ben Simmons has been one of the most talked-about trade pieces for the entirety of the season. This week, those reports have evolved to include Tobias Harris as another player the Philadelphia 76ers may look to move on from. They would hope to package him along with Simmons in a trade.

Harris was signed to a max contract three seasons ago and has seen his numbers drop ever since. So far this season he is averaging 18.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on shooting splits of .455/.295/.856. He has shown before that is capable of much more than he is currently showing, but his time in Philadelphia may be coming to an end.

As Tobias Harris joins Ben Simmons on the trade block, what NBA trades exist for the Philadelphia 76ers to make their roster better this season?

So in an evolution of the Ben Simmons trade ideas, every trade put forth today will find Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris in another area code. All of them will be three-team trades, as getting one team to take on nearly $70 million annual salaries is understandably challenging.

Given the complication of these deals, draft capital will not be discussed even though some would likely be exchanged.

Most of the focus has been on the Atlanta Hawks of late, as the disgruntled John Collins is a beautiful fit next to Joel Embiid if Harris is no longer on the team. As such, they will be involved in three of the four trades we discuss today, starting next.
