Per head coach Brad Stevens, Kemba Walker will be out at least tonight against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder and tomorrow night against the Charlotte Hornets with a left oblique strain.

“Kemba’s out at least the next two and we’ll have to evaluate after that with the side strain,” Stevens said.

After contesting a Terry Rozier three-pointer on Sunday, Walker raced to the locker room holding his side.

He’d return to the contest and finish with 20 points and four assists in 29 minutes in the loss. After the game, Walker said of the freak injury, “I can’t really explain it, to be honest. I don’t know. I just felt some weird pain in my side. I can’t really explain it. It was just pretty painful at the time.”

To make matters worse, it’s Kemba’s bobblehead night at TD Garden.

The Celtics are “hopeful” that Robert Williams and Jayson Tatum will play tomorrow. Tatum is “dealing with a bunch of different things from the extra load he’s carried, obviously the ankle being one of them.”
